Code of Ethic & Conduct

As a Member, Sponsor or Partner of Indian American Business Association of USA (IABA), I/we recognize that membership/sponsorship is a benefit and comes with responsibility to understand and commit to the following membership/sponsorship undertakings. The code of conduct shall, without limitation, require members/sponsors/partners to:

1. Conduct their business in a manner that is ethical, fair, and honest in all dealings with their customers, vendors, associates, employees, and fellow businesses both on and off the Internet and/or in person.

2. Agree to promote responsible business practices on the Internet and/or in person.

3. Responsibly manage standing and character of the Indian American Business Association of USA, and represent the IABA accordingly.

4. Support and promote the Vision and Mission of the Indian American Business Association of USA and cooperate with fellow members in the application of this Code of Conduct.

5. Make efforts to come, participate in the functions and activities of the IABA, and promote the enhancement of business growth within the Indian American Community and beyond.

7. Make best judgement and conduct business with highest standards of ethics in providing services and/or offering products for sale, based on the members’ own knowledge and expertise.

8. Not to engage in any practices prohibited by law or seeking unfair advantage over fellow members.

9. Avoid from publicly disparaging the business practices of fellow members and avoid from condoning or engaging in misrepresentation or unethical practices.

10. Conduct business in a fair and ethical manner, respecting the dignity and rights of everyone regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, height/weight or sexual orientation.

Members and partners also understand that the by not following rules and regulations of IABA and code of Ethics and Conduct of the Indian American Business Association of USA, as outlined above, and defined in the IABA Bylaws, can result in the termination of membership, sponsorship or partnership agreement.

Liability Waiver

As the willing Attendee of events and/or participant with Indian American Business Association of USA (IABA), you hereby accept all risk to your health and of injury or death that may result from participating and, hereby release IABA, its officers, employees, interns, contractors, sponsors and representatives from any and all liability to you, your personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns for any and all claims and causes of action for loss of or damage to your property and for any and all illness or injury to person, including death, that may result from or occur during participation, whether caused by negligence of IABA, its governing board, officers, employees, or representatives, or otherwise.

You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless IABA and any third-party company from liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from your negligent or intentional act or omission while attending and participating. Under no circumstances will the IABA or their assigns be held liable for your injury or death or any loss or damage of your personal belongings resulting from participation. Should you require emergency medical treatment as a result of accident or illness arising during attendance and participation, you consent to such treatment. You acknowledge and agree to be financially responsible for any medical or legal bills that may be incurred as a result of emergency medical treatment. You will notify us verbally and in writing if you are at any time injured prior to, during, or after the event in your travels or attendance, or if you have medical conditions about which emergency medical personnel should be informed; however, you do understand that IABA is not legally obligated to act on that information in any way or to providing any medical service whatsoever to you. You agree that if you have any medical or psychological conditions that may hamper you from fully and healthfully participating in the event that you will notify IABA Board members in writing and that they retain the right to ask that you not participate in portions of or the entirety of the event.
